Shrii and I scored big with Chinook Salmon and Black Drum at Cohoe!

Action-packed day from the get-go! Shrii and I headed out late afternoon in February with partly cloudy skies and some early morning snow that had cleared by the time we launched. The water conditions were solid for our Cohoe fishing adventure, and we were ready to make the most of our winter session with Early Bird Outfitter.

With our gear rigged and ready, we worked the Cohoe waters targeting salmon and drum. The area delivered with a solid Chinook Salmon and a nice Black Drum coming to the boat. Cohoe consistently produces quality fish during the winter months, making it one of our go-to spots when conditions align. We wrapped up the trip with great catches and smiles all around!

Josh Miller is the kind of guide who doesn't give up, even when the odds are stacked against you. Met him on a pretty miserable February morning - started with sleet and stayed cloudy and windy all day. The kind of weather that makes you question your life choices! But Josh kept a positive attitude the whole time, cracking jokes and sharing stories even when it was clear the fish weren't cooperating. Dude knows these waters inside and out, tried every honey hole he could think of. We worked hard but came up empty - happens to the best of us. What impressed me most was Josh's professionalism. Never got frustrated, always had another plan ready. Definitely booking with him again when the weather's not trying to kill us!
